Introduction
Based in a custom built studio at Jackie’s home in the beautiful Berkshire countryside, yet only 40 minutes from London Paddington by train, Jackie’s Make-Up School is where you can learn all the secrets that have made her the UK’s top celebrity Make-Up Artist.
With over 20 years experience in the beauty industry, Jackie has worked with some of the biggest names in music, television and film. Daniel Craig, Sienna Miller, Sharon Osbourne, Lily Allen, Avril Lavigne, Bat For Lashes, Danni Minogue, Coldplay, Snow Patrol and Yoko Ono are just a few of the celebrity clients who have benefitted from her skills. Jackie has travelled the world working with her clients, but closer to home, she is Chief Make-Up Designer on both The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent television shows and is also Avon’s Chief Celebrity Make-Up Artist.
While Jackie will oversee all the Make-Up School classes and be as involved as her busy schedule allows, Caroline Harding will be running the classes on a daily basis. Having first assisted Jackie 15 years ago, Caroline has earned a reputation as an outstanding Make-Up Artist in her own right and her celebrity clientele includes Katie Melua, Sir Paul McCartney, and the cast of Hollyoaks.

About the Courses
Courses offered will include; one-week intensive basic training; two-day bridal make-up; one-day mother and daughter workshops; and one-day tutorials where you can bring in your own make-up bag and let the professionals show you how to use it to its maximum potential!
The Jackie Tyson Make-up School will also be offering Professional ‘Red Carpet’ hair and make-up service for weddings and special events, as well as a personal image consultancy service. One-to-one Masterclasses with Jackie will also be available.
On all courses at the Jackie Tyson Make-Up School there will be a maximum of just eight students. Instruction will be provided by Caroline and her assistant, with Jackie popping in whenever she can, ensuring a high staff/student ratio at all times. The school will provide make-up, wipes, cleansers, etc, but students should bring their own professional quality brushes, however the cost of the Basic Intensive Training course includes a complete starter kit as part of the package. Everyone is encouraged to bring a good quality digital camera so that they can record their work, although professional photo shoots can be arranged on request at an extra cost.
All courses run from 10.00am – 4.00pm. A light lunch and all refreshments are included in the price.

Basic Intensive Training
Duration: 1 Week
Price: £1,000
A great starting point for someone who feels that they may wish to pursue a career as a professional make-up artist, but this course is also ideally suited to those who wish simply to enhance their existing make-up skills for their own benefit. Areas covered will include an introduction to your kit, hygiene in the make-up studio, skin preparation, application of foundation and concealer etc. Eye make-up techniques – shading and highlighting, application of eyeliner including gel, applying mascara and using curlers, and how to get the essential smokey eye look! Make-up for special occasions, correct application of false eyelashes and eyebrow shaping is also included, as well as correct application of lipstick, gloss, liner, blusher, bronzer, and how to remove make-up properly.
A good quality starter make-up kit worth £100 is provided as part of the course, and includes the following items: A set of brushes for foundation, mineral foundation, powder, blusher, eye shadow and lips in a brush roll. Sponges, powder puffs, tweezers, eye lash glue. Foundations, loose powder, eye shadow palette, blushers and bronzers. Eyeliner pencil and gel. Lipsticks, lip gloss and liners.
Everyone who completes the one week basic intensive course will be given the opportunity to spend a day assisting Jackie or Caroline on a commercial shoot.

Evening Make-Up Masterclass

How to create a fabulous, glamorous look for special occasions. Covering flawless base application, contouring and highlighting, and how to achieve the ultimate smoky eye, and the perfect lips!

Bridal Make-Up
Duration: 2 days
Price: £400
Basic skincare and skin preparation, colour schemes, applying long lasting foundation, concealer and powder. How to make the most of the eyes for photographs – eyebrow shaping etc. Use of waterproof eyeliner and mascara, creating glowing skin, bronzing, highlighting, long lasting lips and advice on touch ups throughout the day. Also planning the day and stress management!

Mother and Daughter
Duration: 1 Day
Price: £250 for two people
Or treat your best friend! A relaxed, fun day where you will learn about all the different stages, techniques and procedures involved in achieving a complete makeover for both daytime and evening looks.

Bring Your Own Make-Up Bag
Duration: 1 Day
Price: £250
Let the professionals sort out your make-up bag for you! The girls will tell you what isn’t working for you, suggest cost effective replacements and demonstrate how to apply them, also providing tips on cleaning and maintaining your own kit.

One-to-One Masterclass

Price: Jackie £1,000 / Caroline £750
Private sessions are available with both Jackie and Caroline.

If you want a Professional Make-Up Artist for that special day or important event, we are more than happy to perfect your look. Distance is no object, but may incur travel expenses.

Let our stylists work their magic - whether it’s giving your wardrobe a much needed overhaul, providing advice on how to wear the outfits you already own, or expert help in identifying gaps in your wardrobe - we can help! Our stylists can also offer a complete Personal Shopper service. Either accompanied, or based on a private consultation, they will help you find the right outfit for a specific event or occasion and will also be happy to arrange a fabulous shopping experience at some of London’s most exclusive and iconic boutiques.
