Jackie's Christmas Workshop!

Christmas is just around the corner and with the party season in full swing, Jackie is on hand to answer all of your seasonal SOS calls!
Shahida asks: “I have a Xmas night coming up and I want to do my make-up like Lady GaGa as seen in this image. What make-up essentials would I need?”
Jackie says: “You can create this great party look really easily by using bright lipstick on your eyes and lips! MAC Lipstick comes in some amazing colours, try the fabulous orange shade ‘Morange’ on your lips and bright pink ‘Lustering’ on your eyes.”
Muni asks: “As it’s Christmas coming up, there will be loads of parties and I just love the looks of Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue – How do I get the look?”
Jackie says: “Cheryl and Dannii both love a brown smokey eye with fabulous false lashes and you can watch how to create this look here.
Jen asks: “I have quite a fair complexion and so through the summer months have been using bronzer to brighten up my skin. However, now it’s winter, I feel I need to put my bronzer away! How can I achieve a nice, rosy complexion without looking pasty?”
Jackie says: “I’d suggest you try using a skin illuminator like Avon Luminous Finish Face Illuminator and also a pink coloured cream blusher, I really like Bobbi Brown’s Pot Rouge, which you can also use on your lips to give an extra boost of colour to your face!”
Lucy Jane asks: “I usually wear a smoky eye which looks better as the night wears on. But my base goes sloppy and shiny. With all the Christmas parties coming up, and endless photos that are bound to be taken, can you give me any techniques on how to apply a flawless base that I will be happy to have as my profile picture! And the million dollar question, do you prefer to apply your concealer first OR your foundation?”
Jackie says: “You can create that smudgy smokey eye look right from the start of your evening by using an eye gloss. You should also use a translucent powder to set your make up so it stays perfect all night. And finally, always apply your foundation before your concealer as you don’t want to move your concealer once it’s applied so it will sit perfectly where you need it on top of your foundation.”
Hannah asks: “As all the Christmas parties are coming up soon, I’d like to make my eyes match my dress by making them sparkle! How do I apply glittery eyeshadow to my eyes without making it look over the top, and without the glitter ending up all over my face? And, what would you say is the best shade that can suit all skin tones and eye colours for the party season?”
Jackie says: “Brown shades are the best choice to suit everyone but I’d definitely say it’s a good idea to match your eye make up to your clothes rather than your skin or eye colour – especially in the party season, really go for it and have fun! To stop glitter ending up on your face you should knock excess glitter off your brush or applicator before applying, you can also apply vaseline as a sticky base and use a tissue as a template to get a really professional look. Watch my video for the glittery Bat for Lashes look to help you!”
Sharon asks: “I have fair skin which is especially sensitive around the eyes, what are the best products to wear that won’t smudge or run after a time of wearing, as the mascara and eye liner pencils do?!”
Jackie says: “The long lasting products I’d recommend for sensitive eyes are Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow and Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner along with my favourite, Avon Spectralash Mascara.
I hope you all have fun creating your Christmas looks and make sure you share your beautiful results by uploading a picture of yourself to my Facebook page!
Happy Christmas, love Jackie x
