BRITs for Lashes
Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes created beauty buzz on the red carpet at last night’s Brit Awards, with this unique look created by Jackie and inspired by nature.
“Natasha is so creative, I love working with her, she is a real visionary and even designed her own dress for the Awards!” says Jackie. “As this was the 30th annual Brit Awards we had to do something really special this year. I took two hours preparing bespoke lashes for Natasha using an Eylure strip lash in black, painstakingly gluing individual lashes to it by Blink & Go in blue, green and bright yellow. It’s very time intensive but necessary for a totally unique look! I then flipped the lash strip upside down and applied it to the lower lashes. I also used an Eylure strip lash in black across the top lash line.”
Jackie explains how to use Natasha’s look as inspiration to create your own lashes: “You can make bespoke lashes to go with any outfit, easily, just use a strip lash as your base and pick your colours then carefully glue individuals in the chosen colour into the lash line embedding them in at the root with some lash glue and fine tweezers. You need a steady hand and lots of patience but the result is worth it!”
How to get the Natasha Khan look:
1. First, I created an optimum skin base with some Avon MagiX Face Perfector which helps make-up last longer, reduces shine and creates a flawless base to work with.
2. Onto this I used a very light base, Givenchy Subli’mine Sculpt Light Foundation and then added pink cheek colour with Benefit Posietint.
3. The eyes are the focal point of the look with my handmade lashes under which I used a blue Make Up Forever Flash Colour Pot to give a nice sticky base for lots of Bellapierre Gorgeous Glitter in blue, green and silver.
4. The lips are sheer and feminine with a simple slick of Cosmetics A La Carte Lipgloss in Peach.

Jackie told us about the atmosphere backstage at the Brits: “Natasha was feeling very relaxed because she was not expecting to win, but she really enjoyed the evening and took it all in. Natasha was excited being interviewed by Peter Andre who was looking after all the backstage commentary this year. It was great to be there once again and I think this was my 15th Brits! It’s really good fun. Everyone was in good spirits and for those weren’t working, the drinks started early!”
