Jackie's Make-Up School

Thank you to all those who entered the very first Make-Up School competition. Our three lucky winners who posted pictures of their signature looks and got the most ‘likes’ on Jackie’s Facebook page reported back on their day at Jackie’s Make-Up School, based in a custom built studio at Jackie’s home in the beautiful Berkshire countryside.

Liz Chilton has always loved make-up and wanted to win so her life would really begin at 40! Liz, pictured above, told us: “Attending Jackie’s Make-up School is one experience I will never forget. Jackie and her assistant Caroline were so welcoming and taught us thoroughly on how to apply make-up. Using the techniques they taught me I am able to do this myself now when applying make-up. I feel more confident with my appearance and feel like I have a whole new look!”

Kelly Bristow, who wants to be a make-up artist, created a winning red lip look with smokey eyes.
“The day with Jackie and Caroline was fantastic. Such a good experience, they were so kind and helpful and my friend and I enjoyed every minute! Thank you for the opportunity.”

Shauna Fowley, who found herself fascinated by the make-up she saw in movies, TV shows and music videos, wanted to find out how to do it herself. “I was thrilled to win and really excited about meeting Jackie as I myself hope to become a make-up artist someday and have always admired Jackie’s work. My friend and I travelled from Ireland to London and we had the best time ever, the whole experience was brilliant. It was a pleasure to have met wonderful make-up artists like Jackie and Caroline. The ladies really made us feel at ease and I would recommend this school to anyone. I’m already saving my money so I can come back for the intense week course!”
